Its story

Musica received its name in honour of an orchestral composition and was officially assigned in the twenty-first century during an international campaign to christen new stars. It lives in Delphinus, the celestial dolphin that Greek myth placed near the eagle. A yellow G-class star 245 light years away, it is the confirmed home of a giant extrasolar planet that orbits it.
