13 Delphini shines in the Dolphin —small but memorable, drawn as a diamond with a tail traditionally called Job's Coffin. It is a white A-type star around 429 light-years away, hotter and brighter than the Sun. Its light set out around 1597, when the daily rotation of the Earth had not yet been universally accepted across Europe as established fact.
