Cool red starIts story
Red and cool, an M-type star in Delphinus —the little dolphin leaping between Pegasus and Aquila. Such stars outlive every other kind, and their light, dim to the eye now, will keep shining when the Sun no longer exists. The light reaching us now set out 523 years ago: as Columbus crossed the Atlantic for a second time, this light was already on its way.
