What is Iota Indus
Iota Indi is an orange giant about 467 light-years away, in the southern constellation of the Indian, invented in the sixteenth century during the great voyages of circumnavigation. Its warm, late-life light crosses a sky corner little visited by classical legends. There it stands as witness —a slow flame in a human figure far more recent than those of the zodiac.
Where it is and when to see it
Iota Indus lies in the southern celestial hemisphere. It is visible to the naked eye under a dark sky. Its best month of the year is July, when it culminates around midnight.

It can be seen from anywhere south of 38° N.
