Its story
Theta Indi is a white type A star sitting about 99 light-years away, in the southern silhouette of the Indian, a modern constellation traced by Dutch navigators at the end of the sixteenth century. Its light, close in cosmic terms, reaches us barely dimmed by galactic dust —transparent and polished. It anchors one of the firmer points in a rather discreet patch of sky, far from the great zodiacal figures.
