Hot blue starIts story
17 Vulpeculae is a hot blue star on the modest outline of the Fox, a quiet constellation between Swan and Arrow. Its B class places it among the blue-white embers of the sky, far hotter and far younger than the Sun. Its light crosses some five hundred years to reach us: it set out when European cartographers still filled the oceans with sea monsters.
