63 Sagittarii is a blue A1IV subgiant with 38 times the Sun's luminosity, shining at 297 light-years in the rich band of Sagittarius. Its blue-white tone contrasts with the warm, dust-laden glow of this region, where the galactic centre peers through. Despite its intrinsic brightness, its distance leaves it at magnitude 5.69, right on the edge of naked-eye sight.

63 Sagittarii lies in the southern celestial hemisphere. It is visible to the naked eye under a dark sky.
