Its story
In the thicket of Sagittarius, where the Milky Way grows densest, glows a white A-class star. Its light set out some 203 years ago, when Beethoven was completing the Ninth Symphony and musical Romanticism reached its peak. It is a young, hot body, blue-white in tone, whose light filters through the dust of the galactic centre and arrives clean to our eyes.
