What is Epsilon Triangulum
Epsilon Trianguli shines some 392 light-years away inside the small Triangle, one of the oldest and most geometric figures recognised in the northern sky. It is a white A-type star, hotter and more youthful than the Sun, whose faint light adds to the almost Euclidean simplicity of the constellation that hosts it.
Where it is and when to see it
Epsilon Triangulum lies in the northern celestial hemisphere. It is visible to the naked eye under a dark sky. Its best month of the year is November: the Sun sits at the opposite point of the sky and the star culminates around midnight. How high it climbs above the horizon depends on the latitude you watch from.
