Variable starIts story
In Scorpius —whose claw sweeps the summer horizon— dwells a B-type star, blue-white and scorching, its brightness shifting subtly like a distant beacon. Its light set out at the close of the fifteenth century, when the Catholic Monarchs signed the capitulations of Granada and Vasco da Gama sought the route to the spices. That same light —untouched— now completes its journey.
