Its story
42 Librae glows in the orange tone typical of a K-class star, some 380 light-years away in the zodiacal scales of Libra. Its light, cooler and more golden than the Sun s, hints at a tempered surface but a sizeable volume. The radiation reaching observers tonight departed around 1640, as Europe was just emerging from the Thirty Years War.
