What is HIP 75572

In the Herdsman, Boötes, burns an orange type-K star 515 light-years from Earth. Its light departed in the sixteenth century, when Cervantes was shaping Don Quixote in a Spain that was opening into its Golden Age. Cooler than the Sun yet more luminous, its copper glow shines with the dignity of mature giants —a distant bonfire along the celestial herdsman's path.
