Its story
22 Boötis fits inside Boötes, the figure that seems to herd the Great Bear across the spring sky. It is a white-yellow F-type star 291 light-years away —hotter and more luminous than the Sun, with the clean, slightly austere light of stars burning above 6,000 K. It shines along the constellation's arc, far from the dominant Arcturus, letting the observer find it on merit.
