Its story
15 Boötis lies within the great spring herdsman, not far from glowing Arcturus. It is an orange K-type giant whose warm light takes 265 years to reach Earth —it set out when Philip V of Spain still ruled. It belongs to the series of evolved stars that lend the night sky its deepest amber tones, perceptible only under clean skies.
