Chi

Its story

Chi Boötis is a white star lying about two hundred and fifty light-years away, on the flank of the herdsman who drives the two bears. It belongs to the outer markers that help trace the stylised kite of the constellation, lacking Arcturus's fame but offering a clean, discreet shine. Its light crossed space while Newton was publishing the Principia and opening the era of celestial mechanics.
