What is Eta Coronae Borealis

Eta Coronae Borealis is a remarkable binary system just 58 light-years away: two yellow stars almost identical to the Sun orbit each other in a little over forty years, so close together that only larger telescopes can split them. One of the few accessible pairs of true solar twins: two suns turning a slow waltz inside the diadem of the Northern Crown.

Eta Coronae Borealis lies in the northern celestial hemisphere. It is visible to the naked eye under a dark sky. Its best month of the year is April: the Sun sits at the opposite point of the sky and the star culminates around midnight. How high it climbs above the horizon depends on the latitude you watch from.
