Nu-1
Cool red starIts story
Nu-1 Coronae Borealis is a red giant of type M2: a surface of just 3,765 K gives it that deep, orange-tinged hue. With its sister Nu-2, it forms a warm-toned visual pair at the edge of the small diadem of the Northern Crown. Its light crosses 641 years of darkness before reaching the eye—an old flame in a young sky.
