Star profile
HIP 56862
Variable starWhat is HIP 56862
It inhabits the small southern Fly with the quiet gold of a G-type star and the restlessness of a variable. Its brightness breathes: rising and falling in a beat only patient records can read. The light brushing the observer tonight set out some five centuries ago, when Magellan was nearing the strait that would bear his name. Musca is a small, late constellation made of faint lights that seldom contest the stage.
