Cool red starIts story
It is a red M-type ember in the long celestial Snake of Hydra, the sky s most extensive constellation. Its deep tone betrays a modest temperature and a likely generous radius, characteristic of aged giants and subgiants. The light now resting in the eye set out almost four centuries ago, when Cervantes was finishing the second part of Don Quixote. Hard to find, since Hydra coils through faint stars with few bright anchors.
