Its story
ψ Cancri shines yellow at 135 light-years, in the small zodiacal Crab — a constellation so faint that almost no one picks it out without a chart. A G-class star, close to the Sun in temperature and color though slightly more evolved, it inhabits a sky that is discreet but historic: that same patch holds the Beehive Cluster, one of the first star groupings ever described by Hipparchus over two thousand years ago.
