Its story

Puppis again, this time with a G-type sun — chromatic kin to our own but older and more extended — whose 281 light-years place it at a distance both human and unfathomable. Its light departed while Voltaire was writing his Letters Concerning the English Nation and an enlightened Europe was beginning to question every inherited dogma. Today it reaches us as a yellow echo of that first critical breath.
