Its story
Above the Stern of the ancient ship Argo shines a yellow-white F-type star, slightly hotter than the Sun and the pale shade of polished ivory. Its light crossed about 168 years of darkness to arrive here, setting out when telegraphs were beginning to weave the planet's first nervous system and the night sky still belonged to travellers and watchmen. It is the quiet lamp of one of the oldest constellations of the southern firmament.
