96 G. Psc is an orange dwarf in Pisces only 24.3 light-years away, a cosmic neighbour in galactic terms. Though it bears no traditional name nor ancient myth —its designation comes from Stephen Groombridge's 19th-century catalogue—, its closeness makes it special: it belongs to the small handful of nearby stars a patient observer could imagine as another Sun, with its own planets and its own mornings.
