Its story
In the southern constellation of Puppis burns a yellow-white F-type star, slightly hotter and more luminous than the Sun. Its light takes around 82 years to reach Earth: what we see today set out in 1944, when Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy. It rests among the echoes of the ancient ship Argo, broken by astronomers into three constellations —Puppis, Vela and Carina— to honor the mythic voyage of the Argonauts.
