When it left that surface, the Western Roman Empire had just collapsed and Europe was sliding into the long medieval night. It belongs to those rare yellow stars that, well past their youth, have swelled their atmospheres into slow beacons of the galactic disc.

HIP 36514 lies in the southern celestial hemisphere. It is visible to the naked eye under a dark sky. Its best month of the year is January, when it culminates around midnight.
