Its story
In the discreet boreal Lynx burns an orange K-type star. Its light departed almost six hundred years ago, when the Van Eyck brothers were painting the Ghent altarpiece and painting itself was learning to breathe in oil. Cooler than the Sun, its glow arrives coppery and nuanced, like pigment applied patiently on panel. To see it tonight is to lean over the quiet workshop where light, for the first time, allowed itself to be captured as a substance.
