Its story
In Lynx, that constellation so faint only Hevelius thought it worthy of a name, shines a yellow-white star of type F. Its light set off 235 years ago: it was crossing space as the Constitution of the United States was being enacted in Philadelphia in 1789. Hotter than the Sun and a touch livelier, it pulses where other astronomers saw only emptiness.
