Its story
Unnamed in Lynx, a constellation devised by Hevelius in the seventeenth century for sharp eyes, this orange star has been sending its light for 267 years. It set off in 1759, when Halley's comet returned on schedule, confirming Newton's theory. Cooler than the Sun yet noticeably larger, it is a K-type that gilds a celestial corner where bright stars are scarce and true lynx eyes are required.
