Its story

Above the Stern of the ship Argo sails a white A-type star, variable, its brightness shifting discreetly over time. Its light travelled close to 465 years to reach here, setting out when Jesuit astronomers were drafting celestial maps in China with European technique and East India Company ships crossed the Pacific. Its faint flicker is the intimate signature of a star that breathes while it journeys.
