Its story

δ Andromedae is an orange K-type giant that has long since left its nuclear youth and is slowly swelling toward the end of its life. It shines with warm, steady light along the body of the chained princess, not far from the legendary M31 galaxy. Its amber tone contrasts with the bluish-white of its younger neighbours in that autumnal corner of the northern sky.
