Nembus
Its story
Nembus is an orange giant in Andromeda, set near the shoulder of the chained princess of Greek myth. Its name, rare and almost forgotten, probably descends from an Arabic word garbled by medieval copyists. At some 177 light-years, its coppery glow slips discreetly among the most photographed stars of the northern sky — almost always eclipsed by its famous neighbouring galaxy.
