Hot blue starIts story
In Canis Major —forever trailing Orion across the winter sky— burns a B-type star, blue-white and far hotter than the Sun. Its light set out more than seventeen hundred years ago, when the Roman Empire was splitting in two and the first Christian monasteries were rising in Egypt. It crossed nearly two millennia to arrive, untouched, at this very night.
