Its story
In Canis Major, the faithful celestial pack that follows Orion, shines an orange star of K type. Its light set out four hundred and fifty-six years ago, in the late sixteenth century, when Tycho Brahe was observing without a telescope a new star that would shake the medieval idea of an unchanging sky. Cooler and redder than the Sun, it unfolds a warm, steady amber. It is a discreet link among the lights of the pack, an orange ember that seems to have waited centuries to appear before a patient eye.
