134 Tauri is a blue B9IV subgiant some 249 light-years away, on the northern flanks of the Bull. Its luminosity exceeds the Sun's by more than eighty times, burning at nearly twice our star's temperature. Faint to the unaided eye, it has nonetheless been chosen for chemical-abundance studies of B and A stars —research that dissects its atmospheric inventory, element by element.
