Hot blue starIts story
126 Tauri burns with the intense blue typical of hot B-type stars, in the sky region the mythic bull has occupied for millennia. More than six hundred light-years away, its light set off when Gothic cathedrals were still rising across Europe. It belongs to Taurus, a constellation rich in young, massive stars and home —not far away— to the famed Pleiades.
