Its story
132 Tauri occupies one of the highest positions in Flamsteed's numbering of the Bull, far beyond the Hyades cluster. It is a yellow G-type giant whose light has been travelling for 364 years —it left when Newton was still a child in Lincolnshire. Its warm, settled glow at magnitude 4.9 yields itself only to a patient eye under clean skies, far from the lamps.
