Its story
47 Tauri is a yellow star a touch larger than the Sun, set in Taurus 332 light-years away, not far in perspective from the famous Hyades cluster. It does not stand out to the naked eye, but it shares the sky with Aldebaran and with the stellar drift that shapes the Bull's face. Its light, having left the photosphere in the heart of the seventeenth century, arrives now in quiet —the kind of spark that gives itself away only under truly dark skies.
