Its story

In the waters of Eridanus, the celestial river, shines a white A-type star 232 light-years away. Its light set out during the Enlightenment, as Diderot and d'Alembert were printing the first volumes of the Encyclopédie. Hotter and considerably brighter than the Sun, this serene flame marks the mythic course that flows down toward the southern horizon.
