Its story
45 Tauri is a yellow-white F-type star about 121 light-years away, in the field of the Bull, not far from the open cluster of the Hyades that traces the animal's face. Its temperature sits between the Sun's and that of hotter stars, giving its light a clean, pale tone. It belongs to the background retinue of suns that surrounds Aldebaran, the Bull's ruddy eye.
