Its story

31 Tauri is a blue B-type star, hot and luminous, set in the constellation of the Bull not far from the Hyades cluster. Its bluish tone reveals a surface at tens of thousands of degrees, far above that of the Sun. Its light crosses almost eight centuries of space before touching the mirror of any telescope.
