Hot blue starIts story
In the chains of Andromeda burns a blue B-type beacon, about 521 light-years away. Its light began traveling around 1505, in the early modern era, when Leonardo was finishing the Mona Lisa in Florence and Europe was stepping fully into the Renaissance. Its surface comfortably exceeds 10,000 degrees, a cold gleam hanging from the shackles of the chained princess.
