A yellow variable on the flank of Andromeda, 423 light-years away. Its brightness is not constant —it shifts slightly, a stellar breath the human eye cannot register but that photometric telescopes track with patience. Its light left when Galileo was being arrested by the Roman Inquisition and forced to abjure heliocentrism.
