Its brightness is not constant —it shifts slightly, a stellar breath the human eye cannot register but that photometric telescopes track with patience. Its light left when Galileo was being arrested by the Roman Inquisition and forced to abjure heliocentrism.

HIP 117503 lies in the northern celestial hemisphere. It is visible to the naked eye under a dark sky. Its best month of the year is October: the Sun sits at the opposite point of the sky and the star culminates around midnight.
