In Aries, first sign of the zodiac, glows an orange K-type star about 313 light-years away. Its light departed around 1713, when the Treaty of Utrecht was being signed and the political map of Europe was being rewritten after a long war. Cooler than the Sun, it offers that coppery tint reminiscent of late light upon ripe wheat.
