Its story
31 Arietis is a yellow-white F-type star roughly 113 light-years away, a frankly close distance in stellar terms. It dwells in Aries, the small zodiacal constellation that opens the classical astronomical year. The light reaching us tonight departed in the early twentieth century, in the very years when Einstein's general relativity was still unpublished and the cosmos was understood through far simpler laws.
