What is Rho 3 Eridani

Rho-3 Eridani is a white A-type star 136 light-years away, one of the many pearls strung along the winding course of the celestial River — the longest constellation in the sky, spilling from Orion all the way to the southern horizon. Its spectral class lends it a clean, almost bluish brightness, proper to stars in mid-maturity, before age tints them orange.

Rho 3 Eridani lies in the southern celestial hemisphere. It is visible to the naked eye under a dark sky. Its best month of the year is November, when it culminates around midnight.
