HIP 13874
What is HIP 13874
The river Eridanus stretches across the sky and here, in one of its bends, glows a white light of class A. Its photon traveled 360 years to reach us: when it left, Vermeer was painting interiors in Delft and light itself —how it moved, at what speed— was still a mystery yet to be unraveled. Today that same light closes the journey in silence.
