47 Arietis is a member of the Hyades supercluster, a vast stellar stream sharing motion with the famous open cluster in Taurus. It is a yellow-white F5IV subgiant, four times the Sun's luminosity and around 1.5 billion years old. It lies at 108 light-years, making it one of the closest stars in this set.
