ο Arietis is a hot blue star nearly six hundred light-years away, in the body of the Ram, a zodiacal sign that in antiquity marked the spring equinox. Its cold, electric light contrasts with the warmer tone of neighbouring stars, most of which belong to older generations. Its B type places it among the stars of shortest life and most intense energy.
