What is HIP 116853
An orange star in Aquarius, the celestial water-bearer. Its light has been travelling for 349 years: it set out when Louis XIV was ruling France from Versailles and English astronomers were founding the Royal Society. A K-class object, slightly cooler than the Sun, it offers the restful amber glow of stars that have advanced in their life cycle and left behind the fury of youth.
